The Team consists of 5 people, consisting of Linux operator, tec. support, content manager and producer.
The task was to create a highly flexible system that is capable of recording incoming video systems, stream them to the internet and route them to in-house panels (in case some of the seven rooms that can host between 300-1000 people were overcrowded, a crucial point for security).
The basic modules of this streaming-infrastructure are small microATX PCs with capture cards running Linux, which are setup as RTSP servers.
The UI to switch between signals for control and routing was completely built in TouchDesigner. TouchOSC was used to build an iPad App to simulate a switch.
Thanks to derivative, a special RTSP function was implemented for us, so everything was nicely controllable and running smoothly.
